I am right now studying game design at FutureGames in Stockholm, which I started in Fall 2021. This means I am looking for a 6 month long internship starting January 2023. My main passion is gameplay design. For me, it is the heart of most games, and thinking about abilities is something that combines creative and pragmatic problem-solving.
My biggest passion is playing a game and thinking about its abilities, and what could, would I change. To come up with twists or mix aspects together. Therefore I wholeheartedly believe that ideation, creative and pragmatic thinking is my strongest quality.
This applies to something that already is further along or starting from scratch. Gameplay (almost) no matter the genre, is the beating heart of the game, and is great because it's connected to all other things; animation, character modeling, various coding, and level design.
Having spent 5 years in the family printing business as both an operator and office manager, I have experienced a high-stress environment and how different departments not quite unlike in game development need to be collaborating well. Even if the products are opposites there are some similarities.
Business management and principles of marketing, including project management, have proved useful to varying degrees, but are a pool of knowledge I can reach into.
One of the greatest joys so far has been teaming up with other people that are having not only their talents but a shared love for games.
Everyone can be an asset with their own perception, ideas and looking at elements of the game and the whole project from their specific angle.
Making the creative and pragmatic come together for is a challenging yet rewarding process.
Eventually being able to play your own game or better yet, have someone else get genuine joy from something you have worked on is fulfilling.
Finding ideas whether they are about the creative identity of the game or smaller mechanics or twisting something existing, is certainly one of my biggest joys. Going through notes, looking at other games, and movies, or even being inspired by real-life world examples gives me potential answers to problems I am trying to solve.

I am a big Arsenal London supporter having held season tickets when I lived in London
Playing video games analytically is a puzzle, playing them when just kicking back, alone or with friends is pure joyful escapism.
I love a good story, that you can lose yourself in and find a great source of inspiration for game design ideas.
